Ten years ago,on September 11, 2001, the United States was attacked. Between the hours of 8:46 A.M and 10:40 A.M four airplanes were highjacked and crashed, killing all on board.

246 died on the airplanes.
125 died in the Pentagon.
2606 died in the Twin Towers.

Four groups of first responders rushed in to help those in harm's way, and many lost their lives in order to sace others :

343 Firefighters died
23 Police officers died
37 Port authorities died
15 E.M.T.'S died

Over 90 countries lost citizens in these attacks.
On September 11, 2001 one Tennessean in the Worls Trade Center lost his life, 49 year old Gary E. Lasko from Memphis, Tennessee.
We ALL need to remember what happened ,and we always need to honor those who lost their lives, and those who's lives are forever changed. We need to educate students and kids today, and educate students in the future who will have been born after the attack and will have no knowlage of this horrible day in United States history.
My favorite teacher, Ms. Lynn Newman, got our whole scool to have a memorail for the ten year anniversary of 9/11. I was 1 of the few lucky people that got to go.Every class had a brick from a burned down house with a word on it. Ms Newman also said the words abouve. And she's right, we should NEVER forgete about the 3,395 people that died.
